Local NGOs like KADERES have to face several challenges and difficulties like:
- Need of funding: No donations often means no new investments and no new projects and sometimes the end of the organization. Personal donations from individuals and/or local government are limited and cannot help to completely run a functioning NGO. KADERES is working hard and is thankful to be supported by various organizations all over the world. We are doing our best to use their support in the most efficient way and to meet their expectations concerning accountability and transparency. There are still a lot of needs in the Districts of Karagwe and Kyerwa and at KADERES, we have remained dedicated to assisting the poorest areas where the services are needed the most. We are constantly searching new partners who can support us in implementing activities which can fulfill these needs.
- Need of experienced staff: KADERES as a non profit organization does not have the funds to support a large team of highly qualified workers. One soltuion to solve this problem is to encourage volunteers to come to Kagera and work for KADERES. Currently, VSO and artefact are supporting us with long term volunteers, but we still welcome new volunteer workers at KADERES. If you are interested in supporting any of our projects please contact us.
KADERES and the community of Karagwe would greatly appreciate your contribution.
